Overview

Location Studio is an Android app that lets you save, organize, and revisit locations. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically:

All saved locations and coordinates stay entirely on your device
Location data is never sent to any external server
No account, login, or registration is required
No usage analytics or crash reporting is collected by us

Location Access

The app requires access to your device's location to save and display coordinates. Location data is used solely within the app to record places you choose to save. This data never leaves your device.

The app may use a foreground service to continue tracking your location while the app is visible on screen. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads in accordance with Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings.

In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

If the app offers in-app purchases, these are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store any payment information. Purchase data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION — to record precise GPS coordinates for saved locations
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — to record approximate location as a fallback
FOREGROUND_SERVICE — to run location tracking while the app is in use
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION — required for foreground services that access location
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show status notifications during active location sessions
INTERNET — required for displaying ads via Google AdMob
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to check network availability for ad loading
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — to import location data from files on your device
